End of Spring Term 2006
The last day of term meant a sad farewell to 3 members of staff. Loobs Dunstan a member of the office team and Mr Hamilton who is going on to his first headship with a new school. They have both been at the school for seven years and we wish them good luck with their new ventures. Also, Mrs McGuire our temporary acting head who has worked so hard to improve the school. These efforts were demonstrated with our recent glowing ofsted update. We know you are watching this site to see how the children get on.
A music evening was held at the school. The event was organised by Mrs Best Lyall and Tony Harris with his band. Mrs Harris sang Gershwin and they were joined by present and former pupils. The evening was a great success showcasing many talented individuals and raising much needed funds to purchase new school instruments. Thank you to everyone who took part and all those who supported the event.
On the last day of the school term the children were entertained by Morris Men and encouraged to join in with the dancing. On May day Millbrook, Kingsand and Cawsand will be full of Morris dancers from all over the area to celebrate the launching of The Black Prince.
